Finally, the aLife Youth ministry is now in cyberspace! Check back often so you can information or updates about the latest happenings and events. We have so many exciting events planned for 2009!
Here’s what to expect…
- We’ll have our very own Youth Worship every quarter. We’ll worship God “youth style”! Venue will either be in Maidu Center at Roseville or the multi at SJG elementary school in Folsom.
- Fun fellowship outings are in works. Enjoy playing laser tag, picnics and rafting down the American River in the summer. Watch for the announcements in the church bulletin and invite your friends so they will know how much fun it is to hang out with young people that follow Jesus Christ.
- Have you ever struggled with quiet time? How to do it? How to study the Bible? Well, help is coming! The YW (Youthwalk) devotional magazine will be given out every month in Sunday School. This magazine gives you 5 “devos” each week that you can reflect on during your quiet time. Each week will have a different theme and each Sunday, your Sunday school teachers will go over the theme for that week. By doing this regularly, you’ll develop a consisted habit of reflection and meditation of God’s Word.
- Want to serve God by helping those who are weak, poor, or helpless? Mission service opportunities will be offered to those who desire to live out Jesus’ command to love our neighbors.
- Interested in getting involved with aLife church ministries? Throughout the year we’ll announce volunteer opportunities to serve Jesus’ Body which is the church.
- Want to be a disciple of Jesus? The Lilies and Braveheart ministry will continue to meet regularly to help you grow in maturity and faith.
Our goal is to produce passionate and productive followers of Christ. Don’t think that you are too young to serve God. 1 Timothy 4:12 says “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”
